Jeremy Lasker [ instructed by Lucy Tindall of Steele Ford & Newton, solicitors ] and Bob Elias [instructed by Jeremy Fraine of Holt & Longworth, solicitors] who together represented a married couple from Keighley were yesterday successful at Burnley Crown Court in securing acquittals on all of the 39 Counts faced by their clients.
The allegations which dated back to 2009 were investigated for the best part of 2 years before the police decided to charge the 2 Defendants with theft . The Defendants had been waiting for their trial since April 2012 when they had pleaded not guilty to the Indictment at the Plea & Case Management Hearing.
