Abigail specialises in all aspects of personal injury litigation (claimant and defendant), industrial disease (mainly asbestos, lung disease and VWF/HAVS) and fatal accident/disease litigation. All other areas of law with medical issues, including
clinical negligence, Inquests particularly arising out of clinical negligence and asbestos exposure and CICA.

Her challenging PI cases include: complex orthopaedic injuries; chronic pain and somatoform disorder; animals (particularly horse-related accidents); dental injuries; mesothelioma, asthma, asbestosis and low asbestos exposure; civil proceedings for multiple attempted rape and physical assaults; neglect of elderly relatives in nursing care. Cases have included advising on accidents which have occurred abroad in and outside Europe. Abigail has good spoken and written knowledge of Spanish and French (Spanish nivel avanzado B2 – Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, French A-Level+).

Abigail undertakes professional regulatory work, acting for Registered Nurses in NMC, GMC, Care Standards Tribunal, disciplinary issue of dentist in relation to their NHS Trust medical student in a University/GMC-related and Health and Care Professionals’ Council – HCPC.

Abigail has also performed the role of court examiner and has taken evidence on commission in a number of living mesothelioma and lung cancer cases.

She has also acted as advocate for claimants when evidence on commission has been taken.
