Neil Fryman prosecutes Dr Raza Laskar for multiple child sex offences

Dr Laskar admitted 31 sex offences including voyeurism, sexual activity with a child, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, making indecent images, distributing indecent images, possessing indecent images, and inciting child pornography.

Dr Laskar was sentenced by Mr Justice Openshaw to a total of 7 years imprisonment with 6 years extended licence for offences which involved contacting children between the ages of 12 and 15 over the internet . He then persuaded the boys to perform numerous sex acts over the internet, which he recorded without their permission. He met one 15 year old boy at a hotel and committed numerous sexual offences with the boy. He also had amassed a vast collection of over 35,000 indecent images. The case also had international aspects , as several of the boys lived abroad.
