Neil Fryman secured an acquittal last week defending a client on a multi-million pound cigarette smuggling case after a 7 week trial at Manchester Crown Court at Crown Square. H.M. Revenue and Customs had carried out Operation Truckle between 2010 and 2013 resulting in 12 defendants being indicted. Neil was instructed by Mohamed Patel of Allansons solicitors. Several of the other defendants who were convicted received substantial prison sentences.
