[intro]Leading barrister Simon Csoka QC comments on the issues with regards to the emergency legislation urging the government to halt its emergency police bail bill.[/intro]
Interviewed by James Naughtie on the BBC Radio 4 flagship programme “Today”, Simon said that the use of police bail for long periods was on the increase as a result of lack of resources. He added that there ought to be time limits on the use of police bail. To simply go over the same ground again and again was not in the interests of the victim or the suspect.
