Kate Blackwell QC featured as Times Lawyer of the Week
Kate Blackwell QC is featured in The Times today as the Lawyer of the Week.
The recognition relates to Kate’s role as Counsel to the Independent Panel in the Daniel Morgan Inquiry. The panel was set up in 2013 to examine the unsolved murder of Daniel Morgan, a private detective, in 1987. The inquiry found that the Metropolitan Police were “institutionally corrupt” in how they concealed or denied their failings.
The report, published last week, without redactions, can be found here.
Kate is currently acting as Counsel to the Jermaine Baker which opened on 14th June.
Being named The Time’s Lawyer of the Week is a great achievement and Chambers are delighted that Kate’s very hard work in this important inquiry has been recognised.
