Lincoln House welcomes Kimberley Obrusik and Holly Nelson to Chambers
The members of Lincoln House Chambers are delighted to welcome both Kim Obrusik & Holly Nelson to Chambers.
Kim was called to the Bar in 2010 and joins Chambers from 15 Winckley Square Chambers in Preston.
Kim’s practice focuses on serious crime. She has an abundance of experience across the whole ambit of criminal law and accepts instructions, both as trial advocate and junior counsel, in cases involving extreme violence (inc Murder & Manslaughter), large scale drug conspiracies, serious sexual offences, fraud and dishonesty. Kim has been involved in some of the Northern Circuit’s most significant multi handed drug conspiracy matters in recent years.
Holly was called to the Bar in 2017 and also joins chambers from 15 Winckley Square Chambers.
Holly has developed a very busy criminal practice defending and prosecuting in a variety of matters including the supply of Class A drugs, serious violence, and sexual offences.
Holly also has significant experience in regulatory fields having represented Trading Standards and Local Authorities in licensing matters in the Crown Court. She regularly and reliably turns her mind to complex legal argument and is able to conduct significant legal research in novel areas of law.
Holly is building a strong reputation as an effective and persuasive advocate on the Northern Circuit. With a particularly affable nature she is able to relate to lay-clients and professional clients in a genuine and meaningful way, whilst robustly representing their interests in court.
Director of Clerking, David Wright, said this of the recruitment of Kim Obrusik & Holly Nelson:
“We are delighted to have been joined by such able and popular barristers. Their recruitment provides even more strength in depth to our Criminal and Regulatory Teams and they both add significant additional value with their specialist knowledge in distinct areas of law. Both Miss Obrusik and Miss Nelson have been well known to members of Chambers for many years having co-defended with, or prosecuted, members in complex and demanding cases. Members have always been extremely impressed by their hard work and polished performances and we are very excited to be working very closely with them, and seeing their careers at the bar go from strength to strength, over the years to come”.
