The Lincoln House Chambers Private Prosecution team boasts extensive prosecution experience across a very wide range of criminal offences. Our members regularly work for the SFO, NCA, CPS, Insolvency Service, and other prosecution agencies. Several members of the team have spent a significant period of their careers “in house” at these authorities and have a unique understanding of both the decision making processes and the methods adopted in building a strong prosecution. This understanding and experience enables members to provide strategic advice, where appropriate, from the very earliest stages in the process, in considering evidential issues, duties of disclosure, recovery of costs, restraint and confiscation issues, and other ancillary orders/applications.
As prosecutions are often brought in tandem with civil and other criminal or regulatory proceedings across multiple jurisdictions our experience in these other specialist practice areas make us uniquely placed to offer a very tailored service in this area.
Private Prosecutions are an area of law in which there is often a significant requirement to manage evidence and disclosure and as such we will not accept instructions on a direct access basis.
