Rachel Smith Appointed to the Circuit Bench

Lincoln House Chambers is delighted to announce the appointment of Rachel Smith to the Circuit Bench.

Rachel was called to the bar in 1990 and started her career as HHJ Bernard Wallwork’s pupil at the Chambers of John Hugill QC (Old Bank Street). Rachel joined Lincoln House Chambers from Peel Court Chambers in 2005 and was appointed as a Recorder in 2008. Rachel will sit at Liverpool Crown Court from 4th November.

Deputy Head of Chambers, Kate Blackwell QC had this to say of the appointment: ”Rachel has been a member of Lincoln House for the greater part of her career at the Bar. We have been lucky enough to count her as a stellar member of Chambers. She has forged a career as one of the most respected women advocates and Recorders on Circuit. We fully expect that the recognition that she has engendered, throughout that time, will continue as she takes up her full time appointment on the Circuit Bench. We will miss her but we are delighted at her continuing success.”
