Clean sweep for Lincoln House Chambers at Manchester Legal Awards 2019
It was a jubilee night for Chambers at the 10th Year Manchester Legal Awards, 7th March 2019, with Lincoln House scooping Chambers of The Year. In addition Kate Blackwell QC was honoured, for the second time, as Barrister of the Year.
The awards ceremony, which aims to recognise the region’s extraordinary legal talent, was the brainchild of the Manchester Law Society and the Manchester Evening News.
Speaking after the ceremony, Head of Chambers, Andrew Thomas QC said the award confirmed Lincoln House’s position as a significant force both regionally and nationally. It was also testament to the hard work put in by everyone on the team at Lincoln House in the past year.
Kate Blackwell QC, who was last honoured in 2017, said she was delighted to have received her award. The award reflected, in part, her role as Counsel to the Gosport Inquiry which reported in 2018.
