Lincoln House Chambers are a criminal law specialist set. All criminal cases commence in the Magistrates Court.

Clients may become aware of proceedings beginning by receipt of a postal requisition or by police charge.

It is often the case that this stage of proceedings are managed by a solicitors firm, but often with the assistance of a barrister who specialises in the area of criminal law specific to the offence that is being alleged. The specialist criminal practitioners of Lincoln House are instructed to advise on, and provide dedicated representation in the Magistrates Court on a daily basis.

Be it Summary Only offences , Either Way offences, Indictable Only offences or Youth Court matters we are able to provide a barrister that will guide clients through the essential tactical decisions and provide top quality advice and representation to ensure the best outcome.

In the vast majority of cases we will not accept Magistrates Court instructions on a direct access basis. We are unable to accept Legally Aided work in the Magistrates Court. We do however have a very specialist knowledge of, and superb working relationship with, the leading specialist solicitors covering all criminal areas. We are able to advise and assist clients in relation to identifying and instructing the very best legal team for their case.
