Richard English prosecutes Salford robbers after a two-year crime spree
A gang of Salford robbers have been jailed for a total of 58 years after a two-year crime spree which bagged almost £300,000. Armed with machetes and axes they targeted cash-in-transit vans carrying bundles of money for ATM machines.
Lee Seddon, plus Stephen Farrell, Philip Fisher, Jordan Wheeldon, Michael Bond, Robert Pinkey, and Simon Shaw, were charged for their involvement in a series of robberies in Preston, Lancaster, Cleveleys, Stoke on Trent and Middlesborough, between 2011 and 2013 in which a total of £285,000 was stolen.
Jordan Wheeldon, 26, of Seaford Road, Salford, received five years four months for conspiracy to rob.
