Simon Gurney secures acquittal after two week money laundering trial
On 21st August 2014, after a two week trial heard at Preston Crown Court, Simon Gurney secured the acquittal of his client who had been accused of laundering over £140,000, that being the proceeds of a substantial conspiracy to import and supply Class A drugs orchestrated by his employer and others across the United Kingdom. The jury deliberated for over 8 hours before returning unanimous not guilty verdicts on all counts faced by Simon’s client.
