A successful week defending serious driving offences for Andrew Nuttall
On the 5th December, Mr Nuttall obtained a community order for a man who sought to cross a level crossing with his tractor and was subsequently hit by a train. Although the train driver was injured, a derailment was narrowly averted. The crossing was found to be subject to severe criticism by the British Rail Investigatory Board.
On the 6th December, Mr Nuttall prevented a man from immediate imprisonment at a hearing at Liverpool Crown Court. The accused pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and causing serious injury to a pedestrian after he drove through a red traffic light, consequently causing life-impending injuries to the victim.
